Why can a transfer fail after renting Energy?

Check delivery, resource amounts, Bandwidth and contract conditions.

Start with the on-chain result

Look up the transaction hash and receipt. A transaction that is not included, a failed execution and an unavailable lookup are different states. If the result is uncertain, reconcile the original transaction before signing another one.

Check that the resources are still valid

Verify that Energy was delegated to the sending address, the rental has not expired and other transactions have not consumed the resources. A successful historical delegation does not prove the current balance is sufficient.

Check Bandwidth and fee limits

A lack of Bandwidth can still require TRX even when Energy is sufficient. The fee limit, TRX balance and actual execution cost can affect the outcome. Use the specific failure receipt to diagnose it.

Check the business conditions

An insufficient token balance, missing allowance, contract restrictions or other conditions can cause a revert. A resource service cannot guarantee that every contract transaction will succeed.
